Jeff Hill, a former employee for the city of Fort Collins, Colorado, is expected to start working as Texarkana Arkansas's new public works director within the next few weeks.
Interim City Manager Harold Boldt has been in talks with Hill since he interviewed him on May 22 via video conference which then led to Hill visiting the city. "The feedback I received was very positive."
Public works has been without a director since Rachael Kaplan resigned in September. Boldt said the public works department has lacked much needed leadership without a director.
