A.

Approval of Minutes of the regular meeting of January 3, 2005.

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Depository Board to execute 2005 depository agreements with BANCORPSOUTH Bank, Century Bank, Commercial National Bank, and Regions Bank.

 

C.

Adopt a Resolution approving revisions to the 2005 Community Development Block Grant budget.

 

D.

Adopt a Resolution approving a proposal by Edgenics Learning Institute, Inc., of Texarkana, Arkansas, to provide tutoring programs for elementary and secondary students at the City’s neighborhood centers.

E.

Adopt a Resolution allowing the Community Development Department  to oversee the City of Texarkana, Arkansas neighborhood centers.

 

F.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing extension of the Arkansas Police Officers’ Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP) to allow those members of the old retirement plan (PPRF of Texarkana) to continue employment after the completion of the 10 Year DROP.

6.

Adopt an Ordinance amending the FY2004 Budget and approving the FY2005 Budget Appropriation for the remaining funds. (The General and Street funds were approved December 20, 2004 – Ordinance No. L-198).

7.

Conduct a Public Hearing to receive comments regarding a petition to abandon the real property (sidewalks and parking spaces) abutting Lots 7-11, Block 56 and Lots 1-18, Block, 68, ORIGINAL CITY OF TEXARKANA, Miller County, Arkansas.  The street right-of-ways are located on both sides of the 600 block of East 3rd Street, the West side of the 200 block of Ash Street, and the East side of the 200 block of Laurel Street. (Family Service Agency (c/o Charles Deville, Executive Director))

8.

Adopt an Ordinance abandoning the real property (sidewalks and parking spaces) abutting Lots 7-11, Block 56 and Lots 1-18, Block, 68, ORIGINAL CITY OF TEXARKANA, Miller County, Arkansas.  The street right-of-ways are located on both sides of the 600 block of East 3rd Street, the West side of the 200 block of Ash Street, and the East side of the 200 block of Laurel Street. 9.

Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land legally described as the S˝ of Block 14, NORTH HEIGHTS GARDEN ADDITION, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas from R-2 Single-Family Residential to O-1 Office & Quiet Business for an insurance claims office.  The property is located in the 4500 block of Jefferson Avenue. (Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Arkansas)

Adopt an Ordinance waiving the competitive bidding requirements and authorizing additional monies for a housing rehabilitation project in excess of $10,000. (1411 Delaware)
