CONSENT AGENDA

 

A.

Approval of Minutes of the rescheduled regular meeting February 19, 2008.

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution making appointments to the Electrical Board of Review. (SWEPCO Rep. Chesley Walker and Roger Douglas)

 

C.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase a grapple truck for the Public Works Department.

5.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing a higher reimbursement rate, not to exceed $500 over economy class air fare round trip, for the 2008 National League of Cities – Congressional City Conference (Washington, D.C. - March 8-12, 2008) for Assistant Mayor Londell Williams.

6.

Consider the following action concerning delinquent taxes:

 

A.

Conduct a Public Hearing to receive comments regarding certification of certain delinquent taxes.

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution certifying amount to be put on tax books as delinquent and collected accordingly.

7.

Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land legally described as Lots 2 & 3, Block 59, ORIGINAL CITY OF TEXARKANA, Miller County, Arkansas from O-1 Office & Quiet Business to C-3 Open Display Commercial for a used car dealership.  The property is located at 319 Hickory Street.  (James M. & Linda Lilly (c/o Walter Wayne Roberts)) (Map)

 
  • This ordinance requires an emergency clause:  An emergency clause requires a separate and distinct vote of the board and is valid only if there is a two-thirds vote of approval by the board. (Hdbk. Const. Amend 7)

Adopt an Ordinance accepting annexation (Feagins Properties, LLC (c/o Kirk Patton, attorney)) of land legally described as a part of the SE¼, SW¼, and a part of the SW¼, SE¼, Section 32, Township-14-South, Range-28-West, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas (containing approximately 8.982 acres of land, more or less).  The property is located in the 7000-9000 block of Sugar Crest Drive.  (PowerPoint)

Adopt an Ordinance zoning land legally described as a part of the SE¼, SW¼, and a part of the SW¼, SE¼, Section 32, Township-14-South, Range-28-West, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas (containing approximately 8.982 acres of land.).  The property is located in the 7000-9000 block of Sugar Crest Drive. Citizen Communication.

 

 

A limit of five (5) minute per subject is allotted for any person to express a written or oral viewpoint, grievance or other message to the Board of Directors, with a maximum of fifty (50) minutes allotted for citizen communications.  No advance permission is required, but persons wishing to address the Board are requested to fill out a “blue” card listing the subject to be addressed and hand it to the City Clerk upon arrival.  Citizen’s communications will be immediately following the Regular Agenda items on each agenda.1
