CONSENT AGENDA

 

A.

Approval of Minutes of the regular meeting of March 20, 2006.

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution approving the request by the Texarkana Museums System for the 25th annual Quadrangle Festival on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10, 2006.

 

C.

Adopt a Resolution supporting the City’s participation in National Historic Preservation Month.

 

D.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to submit a Certified Local Government (CLG) 2006 Grant.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing a higher reimbursement rate, not to exceed $200 over economy class air fare round trip, for the 2006 International Council of Shopping Centers Spring Convention (Las Vegas, Nevada - May 21-24, 2006) for Assistant Mayor Londell Williams.

Adopt a Resolution accepting the City Manager’s recommendation regarding the operation of the City Market.

Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land (Tract “A”) legally described as part of the NW¼, NE¼, Section 28, Township-15-South, Range-28-West, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas (containing approximately 7.4425 acres of land, more or less) from R-2 Single-Family Residential to C-1 General Commercial.  The property is located in the 500-700 block of Cooper Tire Road. Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land legally described as Lots 1-7, Block 3 and Lots 1-6, Block 4, ZEPHYRWOOD SUBDIVISION, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas (containing 3.01 acres of land, more or less) from R-2 Single-Family Residential to R-3 Medium Density Residential.  The property is located in the 4200 block of Garland Avenue. Citizen Communication.

 

 

A limit of five (5) minute per subject is allotted for any person to express a written or oral viewpoint, grievance or other message to the Board of Directors, with a maximum of fifty (50) minutes allotted for citizen communications.  No advance permission is required, but persons wishing to address the Board are requested to fill out a “blue” card listing the subject to be addressed and hand it to the City Clerk upon arrival.  Citizen’s communications will be immediately following the Regular Agenda items on each agenda.
