CONSENT AGENDA

A.

Approval of Minutes of the regular meeting of March 21, 2005.

B.

Adopt a Resolution accepting a new grant “Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program” or JAG in the amount of $49,000 dollars to be split with Miller County. (TAPD)

6.

Adopt an Ordinance authorizing compensation and establishing the amount of compensation for the Mayor and Directors of Texarkana, Arkansas.

7.

Conduct a Public Hearing to allow citizen input regarding the use of Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program monies for the Police Department.

8.

Adopt an Ordinance adopting Act 272 of 2005 (HB1195), which would give the Texarkana, Texas Police Department’s certified law enforcement officers from the adjoining state the ability to discharge their official duties in Arkansas under specific circumstances” and also further specify they may enforce Arkansas Law and ordinances of the City of Texarkana, Arkansas. Adopt an Ordinance renaming Northcutt Street to Nash-Thompson Lane. (PW)

10.

Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land legally described as all of Lots 7, 8, 9, & 10, W. E. MCCLAIN ADDITION, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas from R-3 Low Density Residential to O-1 Office & Quiet Business.  The property is located at 1602 Garland Avenue. (Kelvin King) (PW)
