CONSENT AGENDA

 

A.

Approval of Minutes of the regular meeting of April 17, 2006.

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution approving the request by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc., Texarkana Area Chapter #278, for a Memorial Day Walk on Monday, May 29, 2006.

 

C.

Adopt a Resolution approving the request by the Bowie/Cass Shrine Club for their annual hospital fund raising event on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6, 2006.

 

D.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase a 2006 John Deere 120 C excavator from Houston Galveston Area Council (HGAC) for the Texarkana Water Utilities.

 

E.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to allocate funds to the Texarkana Urban District (TUTD) for the purchase of new buses.

Adopt an Ordinance suspending the operation and implementation of Ordinance No. L-227. (04172006 request)

6.

Citizen Communication.

 

 

A limit of five (5) minute per subject is allotted for any person to express a written or oral viewpoint, grievance or other message to the Board of Directors, with a maximum of fifty (50) minutes allotted for citizen communications.  No advance permission is required, but persons wishing to address the Board are requested to fill out a “blue” card listing the subject to be addressed and hand it to the City Clerk upon arrival.  Citizen’s communications will be immediately following the Regular Agenda items on each agenda.

Don Nelson); Electrical Board of Review (Chesley Walker and Roger Douglas);  Advertising & Promotion Commission (Debbie Haak and James Thacker; Planning Commission (George Coker and Adger Smith); Airport Authority (Bill Lavender); and Historic District Commission (Harvey Woods - resigned)]
