CONSENT AGENDA

 

A.

Approval of Minutes of the regular meeting of June 19 and the called meeting of June 21, 2006.

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution resetting the date for a public hearing to receive comments regarding a petition to abandon part of the dedicated, unimproved Mimosa Drive Right-of-Way in the 4200 block of Garland Avenue. (Jack Mills and Thomas Garner (c/o Donnie Sealy, Arkansas Real Estate Development & Investments)) (Map)

 

C.

Adopt a Resolution to approve grant contract with the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (AHPP) for Phase II of the City Hall/AMA roof renovation project (HPRG Grant No. 07-HPRG12).

 

D.

Adopt a Resolution setting the date for a public hearing to receive comments regarding the creation of a redevelopment district and its proposed boundaries.

 

E.

Adopt a Resolution expressing the support of the City of Texarkana for the Hempstead County location for the proposed construction of an AEP/SWEPCO Electrical Power Plant.

Adopt an Ordinance amending Chapter 9-7 of the Code of Ordinances. (Fireworks – FD)

5.

Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land legally described as Lot 5, Block 8, CELESTIAL HEIGHTS ADDITION, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas from R-2 Single-Family Residential to R-3 Low Density Residential for a child care center at 3104 E. 43rd Street.  The property is located at 3003 E. 43rd Street. Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a part of the SEĽ, SEĽ, Section 18, Township-15-South, Range-28-West, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas (containing 0.503 acres of land, more or less) from R-3 Low Density Residential to O-1 Office & Quiet Business for a parking lot for an adjacent existing commercial child care center.  The property is located at 1021 E. 24th Street. 7.

Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land legally described as the N147’ of Lot 20, Block “A”, COLLVILLE ADDITION, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas from C-3 Open Display Commercial to R-2 Single-family Residential to construct a single-family dwelling.  The property is located at 4418 Charleston Street. Citizen Communication.

 

 

A limit of five (5) minute per subject is allotted for any person to express a written or oral viewpoint, grievance or other message to the Board of Directors, with a maximum of fifty (50) minutes allotted for citizen communications.  No advance permission is required, but persons wishing to address the Board are requested to fill out a “blue” card listing the subject to be addressed and hand it to the City Clerk upon arrival.  Citizen’s communications will be immediately following the Regular Agenda items on each agenda.
