CONSENT AGENDA

 

A.

Approval of Minutes of the regular meeting of August 6, 2007.

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution making an appointment to the Public Facilities Board. (Vacancy to be filled by Public Works Director Jeff Hill)

 

C.

Adopt a Resolution approving the request by Bethany Hanna with Main Street Texarkana for the 4th annual Downtown Blues and BBQ Festival Saturday, October 13, 2007.

 

D.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to submit a supplemental Certified Local Government (CLG) grant application to the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (AHPP) for a comprehensive city-wide historic preservation program.

5.

Consider the following action concerning the City’s plans to submit an Arkansas Recreational Trails grant:

 

A.

Conduct a Public Meeting to receive comments regarding the City’s plans to submit an Arkansas Recreational Trails grant application to the Arkansas Highways and Transportation Department (AHTD).

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to submit an Arkansas Recreational Trails Program matching grant application through the Arkansas Department of Highways and Transportation (AHTD).

6.

Consider the following action concerning the Arkansas State Parks Outdoor Recreational grant:

 

A.

Conduct a Public Meeting to receive comments regarding the City’s plans to submit the Arkansas State Parks Outdoor Recreational grant.

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to submit an Arkansas State Parks Outdoor Recreational grant application for Bobby F. Ferguson Park.

7.

Consider the following action concerning the Doug Brown rezoning:

 

A.

Report by Public Works Director Jeff Hill.

 

B.

Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land from R-2 Single Family Residential to R-3 Low Density Residential in order to construct duplexes on three lots.  The property is located in the 4200 block of Garland Avenue. (Doug Brown)

8.

Citizen Communication.

 

 

A limit of five (5) minute per subject is allotted for any person to express a written or oral viewpoint, grievance or other message to the Board of Directors, with a maximum of fifty (50) minutes allotted for citizen communications.  No advance permission is required, but persons wishing to address the Board are requested to fill out a “blue” card listing the subject to be addressed and hand it to the City Clerk upon arrival.  Citizen’s communications will be immediately following the Regular Agenda items on each agenda.
