Call to order.

CONSENT AGENDA

 

A.

Approval of Minutes of the regular meeting of August 7, 2006.

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution granting permission to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to have the 2006 Race for the Cure on Saturday, October 21, 2006.

 

C.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase a Vermeer FM 150SDT Vacuum Excavator and Valve Exerciser through the Houston, Galveston Area Council (HGAC), for the Texarkana Water Utilities.

4.

Conduct a Public Hearing to receive comments regarding a petition to abandon part of the College Street Right-of-Way between Flower Street and Oats Street.  The Right-of-Way is located in the 200 block of Oats Street. Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land from R-1 Rural Residential to C-1 General Commercial.  The property is located at 6103 Mount Olive Drive. (the American Legion Post #452 (American Legion Post #452 (Junious D. Lindsey)) (Map) (Tabled at the 08072006 BOD meeting.)

Citizen Communication

 

 

A limit of five (5) minute per subject is allotted for any person to express a written or oral viewpoint, grievance or other message to the Board of Directors, with a maximum of fifty (50) minutes allotted for citizen communications.  No advance permission is required, but persons wishing to address the Board are requested to fill out a “blue” card listing the subject to be addressed and hand it to the City Clerk upon arrival.  Citizen’s communications will be immediately following the Regular Agenda items on each agenda.
