CONSENT AGENDA

 

A.

Approval of Minutes of the regular meeting of September 17, 2007.

 

B.

Adopt a Resolution approving the request by Spirit & Truth Baptist Church Pastor Steve Harper for their “Hallelujah on the Hill” event on October 27, 2007.

 

C.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase one 2008 F-350 truck chassis from Lander’s Ford of Benton, Arkansas to build a brush/grass truck for the Fire Department.

 

D.

Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase two 2007 Chevrolet Colorado compact pickup trucks for the Public Works Department with funds reallocated from the street department.

 

E.

Adopt a Resolution approving the TWU Budget.

 

F.

Adopt a Resolution declaring Police Department vehicle surplus and authorizing disposal in accordance with Arkansas Law.

Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land legally described as a part of Block 11, NORTH HEIGHTS GARDEN ADDITION, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas (containing 0.749 acres of land, more or less) from R-2 Single-family Residential to C-1 General Commercial for an office building containing his insurance office and other tenants.  The property is located at 4203 Jefferson Avenue. Adopt an Ordinance rezoning a tract of land legally described as Lot 7, Block 59, ORIGINAL CITY OF TEXARKANA, Miller County, Arkansas from W-1 Warehousing and Wholesaling to O-1 Office and Quiet Business for a church in the existing building.  The property is located at 915 East 3rd Street. Adopt an Ordinance establishing the twenty-five block Quality Hill Historic District. (Map)

10.

Citizen Communication.

 

 

A limit of five (5) minute per subject is allotted for any person to express a written or oral viewpoint, grievance or other message to the Board of Directors, with a maximum of fifty (50) minutes allotted for citizen communications.  No advance permission is required, but persons wishing to address the Board are requested to fill out a “blue” card listing the subject to be addressed and hand it to the City Clerk upon arrival.  Citizen’s communications will be immediately following the Regular Agenda items on each agenda.
