| The Street/Parks Division is supervised by the Public Works
Superintendent. Duties of this Division are widely varied and include maintenance
of streets and drainage facilities, repair of streets and utility street cuts, inspection
of new construction, street sweeping, installation and maintenance of traffic signs and
signals, repair and maintenance of Departments' equipment and vehicles, maintenance of the
City's parks and swimming pool, mosquito control, and cutting of streets and drainage
rights-of way. In addition, this Division performs weed abatement and demolishes
structures when private owners do not comply with City codes. The City's twelve (12)
parks encompass over 350 acres. |
