Re: "Bust Out" Suspect Arrested for Violating Terms of Release

A suspect who had been arrested during a gang bust-out has been arrested a second time for violating a court order pertaining to his release.

Texarkana Arkansas Police arrested Brioni Dansby in the 1400 block of Preston Street after responding to a report of a disturbance in progress at "Club Success". Officers checked the area around the club and found that several people were leaving the area. When officers got out on foot a patrolman recognized Brioni Dansby from previous encounters. The officer was aware that Dansby's conditions of release stated that he was not to congregate in public with more than one person at a time.

Dansby was approached and identified and he was subsequently arrested for violating a court order. In addition to this officers located a small plastic baggie containing a substance that is believed to be "ecstacy" in Dansby's pocket. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The defendants in the recent gang arrests have asked the court for a bond reduction. In some cases the bonds were reduced to $25,000. As a stipulation in the bond reduction the defendants can’t do several things;

The court order states that the defendants… 1. Shall have no contact/communication with any victim, witness 2. Violate no state or federal law 3. Not to possess or use in any fashion marijuana or other controlled substance 4. Shall not approach or communicate with another member of a gang or group, specifically the other defendants in this case. 5. Def. shall not congregate in public with more than one person at a time except in church or a sponsored meeting.

The stipulations listed are fairly strict, and a warrant is not needed to arrest any of the individuals involved in the "bust out". It is unknown at this time if/when Dansby may be given another opportunity to post bond.
