Re: Felony Domestic Battery/ Suspect Wanted

On 01/26/2007 at 5:48pm Texarkana Arkansas Police responded to a report of a possible hit and run accident near the 3400 block of Jefferson Ave. It was later determined that this was in fact a case of domestic battery. A suspect had reportedly dragged his girlfriend with his car. The victim was taken from the scene by ambulance to Wadley Hospital. The victim had sustained extensive injuries to her head/face and both arms.

The victim advised officers that her boyfriend, Jimmy Jerome Dancer, had dragged her with her car. The suspect arrived to pick the victim up at work in the 3400 block of Jefferson and reportedly became angry that she was speaking with another one of the employees. The victim got in the car, and Dancer drove into the neighborhood north of E 35th Street. He stopped the car and threatened the victim. Dancer then drove back to the victims place of employment.

Upon their return, the victim exited the car, and she yelled for the security guard. As she leaned into the car to get her purse the suspect grabbed her. He held on to her and accelerated across the parking lot. The victim was dragged until Dancer let her go. She fell to the ground, and the car struck her.

Felony warrants have been issued for the suspect for Domestic Battery 1st. At this time the suspect is still at large. He is described as a black male, 18yrs. of age, 5'04 150lb. If you know of the suspect's whereabouts please notify the Texarkana Arkansas Police Dept., or CrimeStoppers at (903)793-STOP.
