The Bi-State Central Records and Communication Center will be conducting a test of the Code RED system on Monday, February 12th beginning at noon. When the test begins each individual in Bowie County, Miller County, and both cities of Texarkana who have signed up for the Code Red system will receive a test message from Central Records.
This is a system test only…There is NO NEED TO RESPOND TO THE CALL. If you have signed up for the service and you receive the call or message from Code RED this will confirm your registration. There is no need to contact the Bi-State Center. If you have not signed up for the system you will not receive a call.
If you have signed up for the system and you DO NOT receive a call, notify the Central Records and Communication Center, or attempt to re-register on-line at www.txkusa.org, and follow the link to Code Red.
As of this time there are over 66,000 numbers that are registered in the system. It will take the system a little over one hour to complete the test run. During this time there will be no interruption of 911 services, and there should be limited interference with daily activity as each participant in the system should receive only one message on each number/phone listed.
When fully operational, this system will be of tremendous benefit to our entire area. We thank you for your assistance in notifying the public of this very important test.
Thank you and you can visit the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department online at http://www.txkusa.org/arkpolice.
