Re: 2400 Linden Homicide Investigation

Texarkana Arkansas Police are currently in the process of investigating a homicide that was reported on 3-28-07.

Officers were first called to an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Linden St. at approximately 3:00pm. Witnesses had located the body of the victim, Myron Woods (b/m/39 Txk, AR), inside his second floor apartment. The victim had apparently been deceased for some time, and had not been seen by neighbors for approximately one week. The victim had several suspicious wounds on his body at the time of the investigation.

Witnesses reported that on Tuesday the 20th, the victim had been involved in an altercation with a female who also resides at the apartment complex. The altercation was reportedly physical and it is unknown to what extent the victim was injured during this incident. He was last seen on the balcony of his apartment shouting at the suspect. It was at this point that he went inside and was not seen again.

Detectives are continuing to conduct interviews and process evidence from the scene. This case is being classified as a homicide and charges against the suspect will be filed pending the completion of the investigation. A medical examination of the victim is set to be conducted in Little Rock on 3/30/07.
