Texarkana Arkansas Police Investigators have arrested a suspect on a charge of bootlegging after a Sunday afternoon raid at an Arkansas residence.
On 5/20/07 at 2:00pm Police executed a search warrant at 416 1/2 E.14th Street. During the course of the search warrant investigators arrested a suspect, Troy Ware (b/m/54 Texarkana, AR) and charged him under Arkansas Statue 3-3-210 for Possession of Untaxed Liquor and Unlawfully Selling Alcohol on Sunday. Each of these charges are misdemeanors and a bond of $1200 was set.
During the search warrant investigators located 3 refrigerators inside the residence on E.14th Street, which is currently being rented by the suspect. Investigators recovered approximately 400 cans of assorted brand named beer as well as several bottles of brandy, gin, tequila, and whiskey.
The suspects van was also searched and it contained approximately 160 more cans of assorted beer. The detectives also located $600 in currency in the suspect's pocket.
All of these items were seized and entered into property as evidence. Numerous other individuals who had congregated at this residence were interviewed and released as witnesses.
