Re: Woman robbed while asking for driving directions:

Early Saturday morning Donna Clark of Atlanta TX, became lost while driving to the Texarkana Regional Airport for a morning flight. In an attempt to get driving instructions she stopped at a vacant parking lot near E. 7th and Hickory St. and waved at a passing motorist for help. A person driving an older white Oldsmobile appeared to be willing to help. He stopped his car on the parking lot and walked up to her driver’s door. The would be good Samaritan then punched Ms. Clark in the nose causing her to bleed profusely and stole a small green overnight case off the seat and fled the area. The overnight case contained Ms. Clark’s airline tickets, passport, cash, and other vacation papers. Ms. Clark suffered a bloody nose and a severely bruised hand as a result of the attack.

The suspect was described only as a black male at the time of the report. The Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying the suspect in this case as well as the identity of any witnesses to the crime. The crime is currently being investigated as a robbery and battery 2nd degree of a person over 60 years of age.
