Throughout the day on Monday 1-7-08 the Jefferson Avenue overpass at I-30 will be periodically closed between 6am and 2pm.
Construction crews will be loading 50 concrete barricades which are on the overpass, and transporting them to the KCS Overpass near the Texas Tourist Bureau on I-30. Only two barricades can be transported at one time, so the overpass will be blocked by our patrol units multiple times for short durations from 6a-2p.
Drivers should keep these potential delays in mind and make preparations to use Loop 245 or State Line. All access roads will be open, and only the Jefferson bridge will be blocked while they load / transport. I-30 itself should not be affected.
