Health Alert Network
The Health Alert Network(HAN) is a tool that was developed to be a central repository for contact information of individuals who are either volunteers and/or deemed necessary in the instance of some worthy event.
This repository is a database that is available to authorized users to view information on individuals such as work phone numbers, work fax numbers, work email, and work addresses. This information can then be used to alert individuals of various events.
The power of the HAN is that it has the capability to alert all contacts across the state of Texas at once or contacts broken down into small groups such as law enforcement of a particular county via email or email capable devices. Another important ability is that alerts or advisories can be sent at the state, regional, or at the local health department level.
