Used Motor Oil Recycling

If you are a “Do It Yourselfer” and change your own oil, you can protect the drinking water supply and the environment by properly disposing of your used motor oil. Used oil does not belong on the ground, in the storm drains or the landfill. Local area residents may bring their used motor oil to one of two Texarkana Water Utilities motor oil recycling locations; either the Compost Facility at the South Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 4000 South State Line or the Wright Patman Water Treatment Plant located at 2700 New Boston Road. No commercial oil or filters accepted. No transmission fluid, antifreeze or other automotive fluids accepted.
