The Sewer Collection division's responsibilities include:

• maintenance and repair of all existing sewer mains, manholes and cleanouts
• Infiltration and inflow program
• construction of new sewer lines as needed
• helping to clean the sewer system
• helping to prevent back-ups
• cleaning, maintaining and mowing our right-of-ways and easements
• assisting other divisions, such as Engineering, with the smoke and TV/Video programs to locate areas of concern
• expanding the sewer system
• updating record-keeping with the use of computer and data retrieval

Focus:

• Providing a safe and sanitary sewer collection system
• Locating and repairing points of infiltration and inflow in order to assist the Wastewater Plants in retaining their permitted status
• Assisting the Engineering department in upgrading record-keeping for GIS mapping program and maintaining right-of-ways for accessibility and providing longevity of existing lines
